David Seoane Miraz

Post Doctoral Researcher

The main objective of my research is the molecular study of antisense oligonucleotides as tools with clinical potential to restore wild type phenotype in the autosomal disease myotonic dystrophy 1. To achieve this goal, my efforts are focus on three main researching lines: 1) Detection of mis-splicing events caused by MBNL1 transcription factor sequestration using RNA-Seq, 2) Delivery efficacy quantification of antisense oligonucleotides in tissues via ELISA, and 3) Analysis of DNA-RNA hybrids consequence of transcription processes and genome instability.
